Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 May 2026

MediFit Clinic ("we", "us") is a private South African medical practice. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act ("POPIA") and the Health Professions Act.

What we collect

When you complete an eligibility assessment, book a consultation, or begin treatment we collect:

  • Identifying information (name, contact details, ID number where required for prescriptions)
  • Medical history relevant to GLP-1 prescribing
  • Current medications and allergies
  • Body measurements and goals
  • Payment details processed by our payment processor (we do not store card details)

How we use it

Personal information is used solely to provide your medical care: to assess clinical suitability, prepare prescriptions, dispatch medication through a licensed compounding pharmacy, and conduct follow-up reviews.

Who sees it

Only Dr. Raythaan Addinall and the dispensing pharmacist accessing your prescription have access to your clinical record. We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes.

Where it lives

Clinical records are stored in a POPIA-compliant secure cloud environment with end-to-end encryption in transit and at rest. We retain records for the period required by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Email privacy@medifitclinic.org to make a request.
